National Philanthropy Week
Honors
Hansen Mortuaries

    National Philanthropy Week is being celebrated this week all across our country honoring those who make a difference with contributions of their time and treasure. As part of this week’s recognition, John C. Lincoln Health Network of Phoenix, Arizona, will be honoring Hansen Mortuaries, for their support and their contributions at the annual  National Philanthropy   Dinner  sponsored by AAFP or the Arizona Association of Fundraising Professionals. The Hansen family has been a role model for all  organizations contributing their time and treasure for many years. They have chaired various boards and have spent countless hours on many different committees while always promoting all of the Lincoln Hospital programs.

 Philanthropy contributions have

  • Assisted employees and Lincoln programs as well as outside non-profits through Lincoln GIVES

  • Assisted children and families through our Desert Mission programs;

  • Funded Network services through activities conducted by our volunteer organization, the GUILD,

  • and the volunteer organizations on bother our main campuses;

  • Funded equipment, facilities, and services at both our Hospitals

  • Connected us with great community leaders; and

  • Continued to move our organization in many ways!

"The literal meaning of ‘philanthropy’ is ‘affection for mankind.’ Throughout our history, we Americans have displayed this trait through our generous charitable giving and our spirit of neighbor helping neighbor. We help each other, and we reach out to help people all over the world. Our tradition of voluntarism embodies a great deal of caring, initiative, and ingenuity in solving problems and improving our communities. It is one of our greatest strengths as a people.”

—President Ronald Reagan,
