Dear family what a joy it has been to know George and his beloved wife. The talks , the games, the car talks and many more. I just spoke to him about 2 weeks ago. He was so chipper. He will be missed by so many. I hope to visit Josie some day soon. I’m sorry I’ll miss the service. I’m in Nipomo Mo, before that stallion springs. I fly next week to Texas to see my grandson graduate from boot camp. So please forgive me for not coming. I love you all. Valérie K. In California.

My heart goes out to all of the family, especially Jo Ann, Luann, Georjann and his grandchildren. I feel privileged to have been a friend, fellow card player, and dinner buddy with George. I will miss him but always remember how kind he was, always willing help anyone and absolutely a good man.

Condolence from Jim and Joyce Finlayson on December 29th, 2018 6:18 am

As kids he was our cool cousin because he truly was a “car guy.” Reading the 6th chapter of the book of Revelation I know George will be right at home in heaven with all that “horse-power.” Our love and continued prayers to Josie and family. George will be greatly missed in the family unit. Love Joyce and Jim

Condolence from JANET WEEKS on December 29th, 2018 8:29 am

We’re so glad George made one of his ‘annual’ calls to us a few weeks ago and had a very nice conversation with Tim. He was so upbeat and a pleasure to talk to and will be very missed at the family get-togethers. We will continue to pray for Joann, the girls, and the family. Looking forward to seeing you again in glory, George! Love Tim and Jan.

George called a few weeks ago and had a very nice conversation with Tim. He was always such a pleasure to visit with and loved sharing his stories about his cars, and his hunting days. Such a sweet man. We look forward to sharing conversations again when we see him in glory. We will continue to keep you all, Joann and the girls, and extended family members, in our prayers. All our love to you all, Tim and Jan.

I’m so sorry for your loss. May your family find comfort in knowing that God sees and feels your pain and he promises to relieve it. In Isaiah 25:8 he assures is that he will swallow up death forever and certainly wipe away the tears from all faces. He also promises that there is going to be a resurrection. Imagine seeing George again happy and healthy in a beautiful paradise here on earth. May this hope and the memories you have soothe your hearts until then.

DEAR JOSIE AND FAMILY,
THE SAD NEWS OF COUSIN GEORGE’S PASSING IS A REMINDER OF THE PRECIOUSNESS OF LIFE. THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD.
ALL OF THE MEMORIES FROM YEARS GONE BY, YOUR VISITS EAST AND OUR TRAVEL TO ALASKA ARE VERY SWEET.

Condolence from RALPH AND NANCY DAUGHERTY on December 30th, 2018 1:54 pm

DEAR JOSIE AND FAMILY,
WE ARE SO SORRY TO HEAR OF COUSIN GEORGE’S PASSING. THE MEMORIES OF YOUR VISITS EAST, THE ALASKA TRIP, AND OF COURSE EARLY CHILDHOOD VISITS ARE SO MUCH MORE PRECIOUS. THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD, WHICH IS FAR BETTER; NO NEED FOR THE OXYGEN TUBING.
WE CAN ASSURE YOU THAT YOUR STRENGTH AND COMFORT FOR THIS TIME WILL BE FROM THE LORD. WE WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU.
LOVE, RALPH AND NANCY
