Danica Momcilovic, 84, Passed away peacefully on Sunday September 29th 2019 at Chandler Regional Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
She was a widow of Mihailo Momcilovic. They Shared 38 years of marriage together before he passed away in 1995.
Born in Lika, Yugoslavia on March 16th 1935. Danica was the daughter of Stevica and Milica Jurkovic. She was always known as a hard worker throughout her life and everything she did was to support her family. She was a great homemaker and the best Mama and Baba anyone could ever ask for.
Danica was a long-time member of St. Nikola Serbian Church and a member of the Serbian Kolo Sestara for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She had a passion for her gardening. She loved her flowers. Everyone in our neighborhood knew her as the lady with the most beautiful flowers.
Danica will be remembered as a very unselfish person with a kind heart and soul. She was the sweetest and kindest person you could ever know. She opened her heart and her home to everyone. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family and friends. She will be sorely missed forever here, but we know Heaven will be an even better place with her as their newest Angel.
She is survived by her four children, Stevica, Bosko, Milka, Jelena and five grandchildren, Stevo, Sasha, Mariana, Danijela and Miki.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, with scripture service at 7 pm, Wednesday, October 2, 2019, Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, October 3, 2019, St. Nikolas Serbian Orthodox Church, 11640 N. 16th Pl., Phoenix.
