Thank you so much for calling me to inform me of Ed’s passing. I wish he and I had kept in closer contact these past few years. I was so very fond of him and have so many memories of him. I haven’t been able to stop thinking of Ed since you called. I must have misunderstood you on the phone because this past Friday night I went to the mortuary for visitation but no one was there. I then went to the church and the same. Then when I got home, I checked this website and realized that it is next week. Unfortunately, I am going to be out of town next weekend and will not be able to attend. My sincerest condolences are with you and your family.

So sorry to learn of Ed’s passing. I will always sremember the smiles he had for everyone when he came in to Einsteins. I recall one of the last times I saw him was at Einsteins on ST Patricks day when he passed out huge live Shamrocks to us. It was a pleasure to know him, if only slightly, Annette, bless you and your family as you go thru this sad time.

Annette,We are sorry that we can’t be with you at this time. But being so far away does not mean that we are not sharing in your grief. Ed’s death was a terrible shock to all of us. We are thankful that we spoke with him the previous Friday. Our memories of Ed are wonderful. He lit up every room he entered and we were still laughing when he left. Our kids thought he was funny and kind. Margaret says her face would hurt from laughing at his jokes and comments. We could spend hours talking about him and will miss him forever.

Somewhere a silence is heard far away and the brightness of day fills the night, Where the trials of life are resolved into peace when a soul finds its way to the light. May if comfort you to know that Ed is at peace now. Marsha Friel

Annette and Family- I was deeply saddened to learn of Ed’s death when Eleanor Campbell called to let me know. My heart goes out to all the Hannans. Ed was a good man and full of fun. I shall miss his humor along with our annual St. Patrick’s Day gatherings of Troy/Albany alumni. Our numbers have dwindled and taken a severe blow with the passing of Ed and Peter Campbell. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Tony Malone
