“Death ends a life but not a relationship” – Morrie Schwartz
Dr. Sandi
Dr. Sandi Howlett is a Grief Specialist and has worked with Hansen Mortuaries since 2005. She has both extensive experience and expertise in loss, grief and healing work.
Grief is a normal response to significant loss. Though it feels far from ‘normal’ for most people, it is both natural and intentional. While everyone has the ability to heal, it is also hard work. Time is one factor yet time alone does not heal a broken heart. Grief needs to be witnessed and validated. “Grief is love with no place to go” (Jamie Anderson). Learn new and healthy ways to channel your grief to honor your loved one and help yourself.
Dr. Sandi works with clients in-person at both Hansen locations and by telephone. She also serves those who are grieving the loss of their pet.
You can watch her video series, “A Word from Dr. Sandi”, here. These short videos highlight some of the many facets of grief. We will continue to add to this library of the varied ways grief can impact life.
Please contact Dr. Sandi if you need some extra support or a caring listener.
