Born August 18, 1943 – Died July 19, 2016. Joe K. Snell passed away peacefully on July 19, 2016 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (WeeGee) Snell, two sons, James Snell and William Snell, his sister, Patty Shillington and brother-in-law, John Shillington and many nieces and nephews. Joe was born in San Antonio, Texas but has lived most of his life in Phoenix since 1952. Joe graduated from West High School class of 1962. He attended Baylor University and Arizona State University. He has owned and operated Snell’s Auto Body Shop for 38 years. Joe has many friends and acquaintances through his membership at North Phoenix Baptist Church, Southwest Street Rods, and Pinetop Country Club. His passing has left a void in many lives. A Celebration of his life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012. Reception immediately following in the chapel. We are so sorry that Joe lost his battle. We loved having you as our neighbors and friends.
How wonderful that you 2 were able to travel to so many hot rod events all over the country, and enjoy summers in Pine Top.

Dear WeeGee, so sorry to see that Joe passed away. he was a true gentleman. i’m sure he is playing golf with Jack Martin at the big country club in heaven. again, please accept my condolences on his passing. I worked with Jack at the Utah Home Fire Ins company.

Oh WeeGee I was so shocked to find this news about Joe in the paper today. I remember sitting in my room and discovering that I went to school with your hubby. I know I haven’t seen you for quite some time now but you are always in my heart. Sending you lots of prayers and good thoughts your way at this very hard time.
