John Curtis, 72, passed away on April 3, 2019 at his home in Maricopa, Arizona with his wife Deani Manor Curtis and three kids at his side after bravely fighting cancer.
John was born on January 19, 1947 in Gillette, WY to John and Bernice Curtis. Many of you will remember him as a bowler (he had two perfect 300 games – one of which he won a car), a softball player, a coach and later a golfer (proud to have had two hole-in-ones, winning $10,000 for his second).
John worked 35 years for McCulloch Gas/Western Gas/Anadarko before retiring and spending winters in Arizona. In his retired years he played a lot of golf and loved spending time with his amazing wife of 55 years, his three kids, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Deani Curtis; brother Larry Curtis; daughter Tena (Phil) Golesh; sons J.L. (Lisa) Curtis, Mike (Laura) Curtis; grandchildren Chelsea (Landon) Hageman, Sarah (Andrew) Kreager, Tyler Curtis, Regan Curtis, Aidyn Curtis, John Michael Curtis, Alyssa Golesh; and great-grandchildren Cade, Easton and Halle.
John’s family will gather in love to share memories and to honor a life well lived. Visit www.hansenmortuary.com for online condolences.Print Obituary & Condolences
