We are Lily and Molly and we have jobs … we are Professional Comfort Dogs at Hansen Mortuary in Scottsdale, Arizona. We help people relax and smile and tell stories. And we have lots of ways to make that happen!

HI, ME FIRST – MY NAME IS LILY and I am the oldest. I am golden doodle and my coat is sort of a creamy not quite white color, so if you see a dog that has an all-white coat, that’s not me, that would be my sister, but you will meet her soon. Anyways back to me. My job is very important to me so when I put my vest on in the morning, I know that I can make a difference because I love what I do. I cannot imagine a life where I don’t get to serve families and bring comfort to those that need it most. When I am not at work, earning my dog biscuits, I am like any other dog. In fact, I trade in my work vest for my life vest, because you will find me on the lake playing and swimming with my family and of course trying to keep my little sister in line.

HI! MY NAME IS MOLLY and I am also a golden doodle. I am sure my sister told you all about me. About how sweet and innocent I am. Okay, let’s be honest, I am just a kid. I am learning. I understand that when I have my vest on, I am supposed to be working and paying attention to the families, but have you seen our place? All that green grass and open space, and let’s not forget about all the birds that are always asking me to come play with them. It is hard at times to stay focused, but I just have to remind myself that the families need me and the difference I can make in their lives is more important than chasing the birds. And anyways, once I clock out of work… there is no stopping me. Let’s go explore.
So now you know a little about us, you may wonder what a Comfort Dog does…it is a super job! No two days are the same. Our job is to be there for people. Some days they just want to pet us. Other days they just want to talk, and we listen. Some days we just sit by them in silence. And other days we are out running around in the cemetery with them.
