Marie F. Haese was born in St. Charles, Arkansas on October 21, 1919. She was the daughter of Russel Ransom Fothergill and Julia Irene Shearer.
She attended high school and was the Valedictorian of her high school class. She was offered a full and complete scholarship to attend college. She declined opting to go to work in Texas working for who would become one of the most wealthy oilmen in Texas with Marie Haese acting as his personal bookkeeper and accountant.
Marie Fothergill would then marry Wyndle Rhodes Haese on May 25, 1941 in Wharton, Texas. They would reside in El Campo, Texas, having five sons over the years until moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1963. Once in Arizona, she would then utilize her intellect to work with various engineering firms, title companies and ultimately would become the Executive Assistant to one of the most prominent and influential bond attorneys in the U.S., one Richard Mitchell, at one of Arizona’s most influential law firms O’Connor Cavanaugh. She worked at O’Connor, Cavanaugh until her retirement in 1994 closing some of the largest bond issues for the completion of public infrastructure projects in the U.S.
Marie passed away on Thursday April 12, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Wyndle R. Haese, Jr., Kenneth Paul Haese, Jack Hutchins Haese, Dougal Wayne Haese, and Glenn H. Haese and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
