Fuss, Nikolaus F., (“Nick”) was born on May 5, 2000, in Scottsdale, Arizona, the second son of Lisa and Fritz Fuss. Nick died on November 1, 2018, in Phoenix, Arizona as the result of an accidental overdose of the opioid Percocet. Nick is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his brothers Max and Lukas, his grandmother Carol Popovich and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, particularly his cousins Steven and Chris Dunlavey who are more like brothers than cousins.
As a middle schooler, Nick volunteered with Boys’ Team Charity which instilled in him compassion and kindness for those in need, Nick was a senior at Chaparral High School with plans on attending the University of Arizona. For the last year or so, Nick’s life has been enriched by his girlfriend Marley Gorman whom he adored. He had his biggest and best smiles when he was with her. Nick was full of life and always made his family and friends laugh at his crazy antics and stupid jokes. He was a devoted New England Patriot’s fan and followed Tom Brady faithfully. Following the Boston theme, he liked the Celtics. Then, his attention to sports focused on Florida and the Gators. While Nick’s musical tastes leaned heavily toward rap music he generously played John Denver songs when he was in the car with his grandmother, particularly Country Road. And Leaving on a Jet Plane.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 6th at 4:00 pm at Scottsdale Bible Church, Grace Chapel, 7601 East Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, Arizona 85260.
