Verne H. Nowicki (nee Yarnot) passed away on September 18, 2009. Verne was born on August 15, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she attended nursing school and became a Registered Nurse. She met the love of her life, Robert A. Nowicki, on a trolley car in the summer of 1944, when they discovered they shared the same birthday. They were married on January 18, 1945, and raised four children - Bob, Linda, Mike, and Mark in the Milwaukee area. In 1970, Bob and Verne moved to Phoenix. Always charming and smiling, Verne had a caring heart and most loved spending time with her family playing Sheepshead, making ham salad, and simply being around each other laughing. Her family takes comfort in knowing they were able to celebrate her 90th birthday with a family party and that she is now reunited with her beloved Bob. Verne is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and dear family friends.
