Obituary

Gross, Jeffrey James went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2010, while skiing with his family and friends in Flagstaff, Arizona at the age of 47. Jeff was born to Gary and Edna Gross in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 15, 1962. He moved with his family to the Valley of the Sun in 1968 and attended Shadow Mountain High School. Jeff started his aviation career as a ramp agent with America West Airlines in 1983, advancing to become a captain for U.S. Airways. He was very active in his church, Scottsdale Bible, as well as his son’s Boy Scout Troop and daughter’s swim events (also for Shadow Mountain). Jeff is survived by his wife, Renee, daughter, Skylar, son, Trevor, his parents, Gary and Edna Gross, and sister, Juli Prue. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and servant of Christ. Family, friends, and co-workers will never forget his upbeat and loving spirit, willingness to help others, and diverse range of talents; his was a short life well-lived. Services will be held at Scottsdale Bible Church, 7601 E. Shea Blvd., 85260, on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 2 P.M.. Please plan on arriving early, as the service will start with a Missing Wingman’s Formation. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Jeffrey Gross Donation Account at Arizona Federal, 12401 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, 85022. All donations will be put towards his children’s education.
