Starkovich, Robert Leroy 80 of Phoenix, Arizona, loving husband and father, passed away February 14, 2010. He was born in Jerome, AZ, the son of Michael and Mary (Kovacovich) Starkovich. Son of a copper miner in Jerome, AZ, who immigrated to the U. S. from Croatia. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was the owner of Bob Starkovich Architect who designed over 50 schools in the State of Arizona in addition to other projects, and was also an accomplished private pilot. He is survived by his wife Lois (Hill) Starkovich; children Tina Dibble of Castle Rock, CO, Todd Starkovich (Victoria) of Phoenix, Traci Acevedo (Anthony) of Mesa, Tori Patrick (Erik) of Las Vegas, NV; sister Mary Allen of Phoenix; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm, Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 19th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 E. Greenway Rd. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road.
