Obituary
Harry V. Hosso of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away March 28, 2010 at the age of 88. He was born in Florence, Ohio on January 7, 1922 and grew up in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Harry served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and spent 14 months as a prisoner of war in a German camp. He married Ethel Cisar on July 28, 1945. Upon his graduation from Ohio State, Harry worked as an electrical engineer in Jackson, Michigan. He brought his family to Phoenix in 1961, where he worked at Arizona Public Service until his retirement. He belonged to St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, where he was actively involved in St. Vincent de Paul Society and the church financial committee. Survivors include his wife, Ethel, their two children, Robert Hosso and wife, Donna, and Susann Traber and husband, Gary, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, April 5th, from 5-8 p.m. at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. Seventh Street, with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave., followed by burial at the Veteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1530 E. Flower St.
