CAVE CREEK- Leatrice L. (Dubuc) Despathy, 96, a resident of Cave Creek, Arizona for the past 22 years, passed away on June 23, 2020. Lee is survived by her husband of 78 years, Robert G. Sr., daughters: Sr. Paula-Jean, DHS, Cynthia, Diane and Michele; sons: Robert, Jr. and James; four grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, Kristin and Matthew; and six great-grandchildren: Dylan, Jenna, Casey, Miles, Nathan and Molly. She was predeceased by daughter Leanne and son Br. Gerard, FPM, as well as her daughter-in-law Patricia and granddaughter Kristin.

Lee was born in Danielson, Connecticut on June 1, 1924, the fourth child of Alfred A. Dubuc and Gertrude (Maynard) Dubuc. She met Robert, her soulmate and life-long companion, at a high school basketball game. They married in 1941 and went on to have eight children who became the recipients of all their loving care. For Lee and Bob, God and family have been everything. And according to her husband, she was the glue that held all together.

Lee was loving, smart and resourceful. She was a mom who could do it all. Besides cooking, sewing, gardening, she worked alongside dad re-modeling and decorating many different homes; graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNH with a BA in Business Management; was employed for a number of years as Education Coordinator for Sander's Associates in Nashua, NH. She was a woman of deep faith and was actively involved in her Catholic parishes over the years, most recently St. Gabriel the Archangel and Our Lady of Joy in Cave Creek, Arizona.

Lee passed away peacefully at Thompson Peak Medical Center on Tuesday, June 23rd after a long illness. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel church on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10:00AM followed by interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. May she rest in peace!

Aunt Lee was wonderfully loving, generous, thoughtful and capable. Her love and pride in her husband, children, and family were always evident and guided her life. I will always remember the fun we had together and her laughter and her smile.
Rest in peace and know you will be remembered ❤️. Niece, Pat
