Judy & I met in April, 2015 through Duet. I went to see her at her home once a week for a couple of hours. We would visit – just sit and talk for about an hour about families, politics, our dogs – whatever came to mind. Then, for the next hour or so we’d hit the computer to do some cleanup, order some new books for audible “reading”, or do checkbook balancing. I had a car accident in October, 2019 and could not continue our one-on-one meetings. But, we’ve kept in touch via phone.
Judy and I could talk about politics without getting upset. And, even though we were not registered in the same party, we agreed who should or shouldn’t be elected. Occasionally we disagreed on an issue, but we could always listen to the other’s opinion.
Judy loved her family – she was so proud of you, David, thankful for Stephanie, and especially, her grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Victoria. She enjoyed hearing about their activities – school, graduations, new jobs, and now an engagement.
Judy loved her Heidi, too. And, Heidi loves Judy. They enjoyed their morning walks and snuggling on the recliner. I imagine Heidi is wondering where Judy is right now.
Judy had so many good friends. Some of us could still visit in person, and some of us had to visit by phone. I am so happy I can include myself in her group of friends. I will miss Judy and our telephone talks.
You will be missed, Judy. May you rest in peace.

Judy and her late brother Jerry were the only cousins I had who were my age growing up, and though we didn't get to see one another often we were very close. We talked frequently, kept up to date on our respective families. I will miss those phone visits. She adored you and your family, David -- and you were definitely the caring son she was so proud of.
