Jason was my best friend and I was his. He filled the empty spaces of my heart with laughter and hope and left a beautifully complex imprint that I’ll cherish forever. I loved him. My children loved him. He will forever be our intricate blessing.

I read the comments here and there seems to be a common thread. One, he gave the best hugs, and two, he loved to serve. Both are completely spot on. I spent most of my adult life with him and love him immensely to this day. We may not have been married for the last several years, but we always remained friends. Many times he would come over to fix something around my house that had broken. Who does that for their ex? Jason Hatch! He had his struggles like we all do, in different ways, but he has a good soul. He will be missed by so many. I love you Jason.

Jason gave the best hugs. As a young girl, I felt safe with my big brother around and I knew he would always protect and stand up for me. He was the best man at our wedding. He accepted others for who they were. He was ALWAYS willing to help. Jason called me "sis". We were good friends and I have so many memories of loving life together. I miss him. I am sad and heartbroken he is gone. I am so grateful for a loving Savior Jesus Christ, the Atonement and my knowledge of eternity.

I was heartbroken to hear of Jason's passing. Although I have not seen him often as an adult, as a teen he was very present in my life, along with Bret, Joe, Zane, Sonia, Holly, and others. Like all the Hatch boys, Jason always filled every room he entered. He was always good for a big hug, and had a wicked sense of humor. He spent many evenings on our family room couch jawing with Reed, and was sometimes still there, sound asleep, the following morning. Like his father and brothers, he was quick to serve, and knew how to fix anything with his hands. On one occasion he and Bret carried a washing machine from their truck to my laundry room. When I offered them a dolly, they chorused, "Dolly! We don't need no stinkin' dolly!" They installed the washer, hugged me, and rode away. Hatch Heroes. Jason was much loved, and will be much missed.
