Saddened and surprised to read of Lore's passing in today's news. I knew Lore when she owned Sensations and I went to her for haircuts, etc. She was always a ray of positive light. I chuckled when I read the word 'blunt' in Lore's obituary. When she was blunt at Sensations, I would comment that was Lore's idea of aromatherapy. She would laugh. Lore was a wonderful person who brightened people's day with an updated hair style and a twinkle in her eye. She was the best.

CandleDear "Lore's" family,

I was saddened beyond words and my heart broke when I heard of Lore's sudden passing, my thoughts and prayers go out to you all. She and I have been friends for over 25 years, having first met when she owned her salon and was my hair stylist. Over the years our friendship grew and I have come to know her and all of you as well as my own family, she spoke of you all, often .

I've had the pleasure of meeting Theo in person a couple of times and I could feel their love for each other. He and Lore complimented one another in their relationship and were each others light in life. I'm so glad they had the years together that they did, for they lived life to it's fullest and it doesn't get any better than that.

Christine, you have to know how proud your mom was of you, she was your number #1 fan when you won "Teacher of the Year " and your number #1 supporter when you ran for and got a Senate seat. She loved you beyond words, you were her best friend and while gone now in person just know she is still with you in spirit. Tom, your mom was so thrilled when you decided to move back to the states. She welcomed the opportunity to spend more one on one time with you and the grandchildren. She loved you deeply and looked forward to a future shared with both her children close by as well as her grandchildren. Porter, Merlin and Aiyana I hope you will always feel your grandmothers love. When feeling sad draw on your memories of time shared with her and smile with thought, of happy days gone by, with sorrow not . You are her legacy and you blessed her life as she did yours. Christel as her sister, you've been through thick and thin together over a lifetime of years and I can only imagine your feeling of loss. Find comfort in knowing you'll be together again someday, the Good Lord promises and I believe.

To all of Lore's family and to her family of friends, instead of morning her loss , may we find joy in her life and remember the difference she made in all of us. Hear her laughter whisper in the wind, smile at a rainbow from above, see a cardinal perched in a tree and think of Lore Porter with love. God Bless "Lore" and God Bless Us All.

Love always,
Cathy Erwin (friend forever)
