Obituary

Marvin Edwin Stivers, better known as Marvelous Marv, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ at 73 years of age, just one day after his birthday.

He was the eldest son of Norma and Maurice Stivers, born to them in Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday March 30, 1949. He is survived by his only living brother, Jay Stivers, his wife Chris Stivers and their children Jaime Beulter, Jason Stivers and Melanie Stivers.

Marvin married his beautiful high school sweetheart Darlene Clayton in May of 1970. They headed west to Arizona in 1978. Together they have four children. Michael Stivers, Elizabeth Ramsey, Stephany Taylor and Ashley Stivers. Followed by 7 grandchildren. Steven, Anise, Abria, Wesley, Raechyl, Lauren and Milania.

Marvin served in the Airforce as a motor pool driver from 1968 to 1972 then reenlisted from 1973 to 74 and worked on the flightline.

Marvin will be remembered for fixing cars, building things, woodworking and most of all fishing and swimming! You could find at the pool all day everyday in the summertime!

He was an expert comedian in any group, cracking people up with his witty jokes and humor. To be around Marvin was to laugh till you hurt!

We will all miss his funny character, witty sarcasm, and most of all his sense of humor!
