James A. Pulice, Sr.

November 21, 1936 - April 03, 2022

James A. Pulice Sr. "Sr" passed away peacefully on April 3, 2022. He was born on November 21, 1936 in Chiefton, WV. Sr was born to parents Frank and Theresa Pulice, who were both Italian immigrants. Sr was one of 10 kids all of which were raised in West Virginia in or around the coal mines.

As a young man, Sr married Virginia "Ginny" Lee Salina on November 30, 1957. They moved from West Virginia to Phoenix in 1958 and worked for his brother's construction company. He was drafted into the Army and served two years performing construction work in California, and throughout France and Italy. After he was honorably discharged, Sr rejoined his brother's construction company where he worked for the next several decades until he retired from the construction industry at 65.

Sr enjoyed playing golf, coaching sports, and going to the casino. He was an avid Suns fan and season ticket holder, and rarely missed a game.

Sr is survived by his wife Ginny, son James A. Pulice Jr. and partner Christi Gibson, grandson Brandon Pulice and his wife Meaghan Pulice. Sr was especially fond of his hospice nurse Kathy Wellenstein, RN, and friend Melissa Bill who provided care and companionship over the past few years.
