Charles Slaton, 86, passed away on April 19, 2022. While working two jobs to support his family, he graduated from Central State University in 1960 and began working in the insurance business in Oklahoma City. Throughout his career he and his family also lived in New Orleans and Philadelphia. They moved to Phoenix in 1976 where he lived until his death. An avid golfer, Charlie was a member of Moon Valley Country Club for 44 years. His other passion was travel and he visited all 50 states at least once and made several trips to Europe with his wife. He leaves behind daughter Deborah and her husband Rick, and son Ron and his wife Erica along with four adored grandchildren, Amy, Matthew, Sarah, and Solis. There will not be a memorial service but he will be buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona beside his beloved wife Mary.
