Obituary
On April 18, 2022, Retired Officer Wilbur Tootsie passed away after an extended illness. He was 77.
Wil proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1963-1969, before joining the Phoenix Police Department on July 21, 1969. Wil retired as an officer on January 25, 2000, after 31 years of dedicated service.
During his career as an officer with the Phoenix Police Department, Wil worked Patrol, Motors and Airport Security. He also worked Undercover in the Deuce, where he was known for the "Tootsie Roll".
After retiring, Wil enjoyed riding his motorcycle, travelling, and spending time with his family.
Wil is survived by his beloved wife, Zona, his daughters; Donna, Kim and Renee, and his sons; Darryl and Austin. He is also survived by his mother, Myrtle, his brother, Albert, and his four sisters; Ann, Winifred, Dolly, and Nita.
