Suzanne L. Ayers
October 31, 1947 - April 18, 2022
Suzanne Laurence Ayers, 74, passed away on April 18, 2022, in Scottsdale, Arizona after a brief, but serious, illness. She was fondly known as "Suzi" to all who knew her. Suzi was born in Lachute, Quebec, Canada on October 31, 1947. She was educated at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal and attended administrative school afterwards.
Suzi's journey took her to Rosemere, Quebec after marrying Bob Macdonald. It was there that she raised her three children, Rob, Laurie, and Shannon. Suzi married Phil Savoie in 1990 and her family grew with the addition of Phil's children, Jayne, Jo-Ann, July, and Dave.
Almost thirty years ago, Suzi, Phil, and her kids moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to be closer to her sister, Jane, and the AZ sunshine. Suzi and Phil's blended family grew even more over the years, including thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; to whom she will be forever known as Grami and Grandma Suzi.
Suzi spent 24 years as Director of Events at Mastro's City Hall Steakhouse, where she continually eclipsed sales goals and received numerous awards for her accomplishments. Mastro's City Hall's tremendous success was due in no small part to her attention to detail and her commitment to customer care. Suzi was the Master Class of event directors. Her extensive work family loved her as much as she loved them.
Suzi was known for her brilliant smile that lit up every room she entered.
In her free time, Suzi loved watching movies with Phil and spoiling their beloved rescue pup, Gus. She had a passion for cooking, spending time at the beach with her grandkids, and traveling back to her hometown of Lachute to visit her brothers, Ernie (deceased January 2017) and John, and their families. Suzi also loved cruising around Arizona, enjoying the sun, on the back of Phil's Harley-Davidson.
Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 2:00pm.
