Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Bingham passed away peacefully late Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 83 doing what he loved - relaxing in his favorite recliner with his bride Becky, watching a basketball game (his favorite sport), and eating ice cream.

Chuck was born in Pineville, Kentucky to Lucy and Bird Bingham in 1938. He graduated from Bell High School in 1955 and attended L.M.U. At the age of 21, he joined the Air Force where his love of travel began and his passion for the Armed Forces was born. While stationed in Colorado, he met his first wife, Janice. Together, they had three children: Jennifer, Darryl, and Steven. Chuck and Janice were happily married for over 30 years until Janice passed away in March of 2000. Chuck and his family enjoyed living in many places during his years of service in the Air Force before settling in Arizona. His tour of service included time in Thailand and Johnson Island during the Vietnam War.

Chuck and his children had a truly special bond. Anyone who spent time with them could see the love and respect they genuinely had for each other. Chuck loved being 'Grandpa B' to his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chuck was an avid sports fan and you could always find him watching a ball game. He was also deeply passionate about Veterans and continually found ways to support them throughout his life. He made it a point to let the people he cared the most about know that he loved them.

Chuck found love again in 2013 when he met Becky at the Arthritis Water Aerobics Class. Chuck and Becky were married on January 16, 2021. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Even with his health issues, Chuck never let that stop him from enjoying life. Chuck was kindhearted, gentle, loving, generous and fun to be around. He was a "Teddy Bear"! We all choose our paths in life, and Chuck emulated the highest standard by choosing to be a gentleman, a patriot, a loving husband and father, and a true friend.

He is survived by his wife Becky; his children Jennifer (Joe), Darryl (Mellissa) and Steven; his two step-children Leslee and Scott; five grandchildren Jason, Matthew, Kymberlin, Lauryn and Lindsay; five great grandchildren Josclyn, Katen, Kaleb, Connor and Aubree; and his little sister, Becky O.

Chuck, Dad, Grandpa B, Uncle Chuckles we all will miss you dearly. Safe travels. Please give Mom a hug.
