Obituary
Austin D. Kakalow, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away on November 25, 2022 at the age of 23. Austin was living in Oklahoma City, OK attending college to become a nurse, and was a full time EMT at EMSA in Oklahoma City. Austin also worked for AMR in Mesa, AZ. During his time with AMR, Austin had worked some FEMA deployments during covid. During one such deployment, he was stationed in the New York City/New Jersey area and it deeply impacted him. Austin had soon thereafter been diagnosed with depression and anxiety issues, but was continuing with life's adventures with the help of counseling and medication. Without any warning or notice, Austin ended his life.
Austin leaves behind his loving parents, Gus and Sonia, sister Reagan, brother Devan, sister-in-law Katherine, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless EMS First responder family from around the country.
Austin will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 7,2022 at Hansen's Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery located at 6500 E. Bell Road Scottsdale, AZ 85254. All friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at 10 am with a short service to follow at 11 am.
