Obituary
Kindra Gay Boruff-Hossack was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to Kinsey and Lavera Boruff on February 5, 1948. In 1954 Kindra's family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating from Carl Hayden High School, she followed in her mother's footsteps by pursuing a career in nursing. She attended Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing and her career spanned over 30 years. In 1985 Gary Hossack and Kindra Boruff were married and began their walk down the road of life together and blended a family of five children.
Gary and Kindra shared a love of rodeo and the cowboy (and cowgirl) lifestyle. Gary was a team roper and Kindra was a barrel racer and they competed in Senior Pro rodeos in Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming. Kindra also competed in local barrel racing events sanctioned by the Christian Women's Barrel Racing Association. From 1985, they attended every National Finals Rodeo each December in Las Vegas until the Lord started calling them for that bigger Rodeo.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Kinsey and Lavera Boruff and son David James Knight and husband Gary Hossack and sister Cynthia Boruff. Kindra is survived by children Deborah Hossack-Hendrix, Gary Stephen Hossack (Rachel), Robert Kinsey Knight, daughter-in-law Wendy Knight; and six grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
