Patricia Ann Bauer passed away on July 28, 2019. She was born on July 24, 1928 in Grand Junction, CO to Harold Cox and Florence Westerman Cox.
An exceptional beauty, Patsy lived her life as a free spirit—consistently following her heart and never afraid of big life changes. Some of Patsy’s life highlights include playing the violin in the Denver Children’s Symphony; working at Fort Logan Mental Hospital as a Psychiatric Technician; living and working on the Flying E Dude Ranch in Wickenburg, AZ; living on the remote Two Bar Cattle Ranch in WY; and packing up her life at the age of 74, leaving WY to join her children in Phoenix, AZ. However, Patsy would say her biggest adventure and accomplishment was raising her son and daughter.
She had a unique ability to open her heart to those surrounding her and include them as part of her family. Patsy also had an endless love for animals. Throughout her life, she surrounded herself with dogs, cats and horses.
Despite being blind in her later years, her independent and fighting spirit stayed with her as she proudly lived on her own until the last seven months of her life.
Patsy leaves behind so many who loved and cared deeply for her including daughter Becky Feola and son-in-law Rick Wandrych; son Bob Mancini and daughter-in-law Sun; and grandchildren Luke Mancini, Breanna Wandrych and Colton Wandrych.
Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to the Arizona Talking Book Library, 1030 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix AZ 85008.Print Obituary & Condolences
