Richard Michael Luttropp

Richard M. Luttropp, 40, died at 7:00PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2011, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Glendale, AZ. Richard lived in Goodyear, AZ with his wife, Kristin Lorraine Green Luttropp. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his parents: Richard and Bonnie Luttropp; brother: Christopher, sister-in-law: Flower, nephews: Daniel and Dylan, nieces: Madison and Sierra; maternal grandmother, Rose A. May; in laws: Richard and Colleen Green; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous very close friends. Richard graduated from Horizon High School in 1988. He then entered the US Army where he served for seven years, with honor, as a Military Analyst. After leaving the service Richard trained to become a real estate appraiser, and also earned a BS degree from Ottawa University in 2000. In 2001, he and his wife started his real estate appraisal business that he had successfully run and maintained for over ten years. He was also working on his master’s degree at the University of Phoenix. Richard was the Director of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Riders Thunder Mountain Chapter, a member of the VFW honor guard in addition to the Patriot Guard Riders and a dedicated supporter of our veterans and their families. Richard’s joy for life, gregarious nature, “light up the room” smile and big hugs were his trademarks. He was always generous with his time and resources to help family and friends in any way needed. Richard’s example and leadership inspired everyone around him to become better people. Memorial services will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, December 2, 2011, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. Reception to follow; then procession to Interment at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024. Words cannot express the depth of sorrow my family and I feel for you Kristin, Uncle Dick, Aunt Bonnie and Chris. We already miss him so much, Rich always answered the bell, and always was there for us, we all feel so lost. We will be there for you all, we love you. God Bless.
