Condolence from Mary Havlik on August 5th, 2016 2:35 pm

Dear Michael —

I have been out of town and just recently learned of Rita’s sudden passing. There are no words to express what a wonderful person she was and how sad I feel about it. But I was lucky to know her.

I played tennis with Rita for several years until I could no longer play. We always had a great time and I loved her, just as all who knew her did.

You may remember…several years ago, I took her to have some dental surgery and stayed with her until you came home. Even then, she was fun to be around! When I had to have cancer surgery, she went to the doctor’s with me and visited me in my recovery. She cared deeply and I was proud to have her as a friend.

I can’t imagine how difficult this has been for you. Rita always spoke highly of you and your relationship together. Please know that you are in my prayers.
